Ashlee Holmes Summer 2012 Playlist
1. Do you have any fun memories from a concert you went to this summer?
I always have fun concert memories. I think one of the best so far this summer would have to be when my boyfriend Sean and I saw 'Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros'. It was awesome because we had just been walking around aimlessly with no real plans for the evening when someone working for 1iota asked us if we wanted tickets to see Jimmy Kimmel Live. We decided to go. It was awesome, Andy Samberg was the guest! -I love him! After we watched the taping of the show we were escorted outside for the taping of the musical guest. I love outdoor concerts; especially when the weather is amazing. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros took the stage and played their songs for the taping, but then they played more even after they were done filming. It was amazing. I thought they were really good. It was my first time seeing them live. Sean and I had a great time. The best part was that whole experience was free! :)
2. What is your favorite music video that came out recently?
I actually just recently saw the music video for 'Gold On The Ceiling' by The Black Keys. I loved it. I thought it was creative, and REAL. Plus, I LOVE the song.
3. Pick one song from this summer that sums up your summer 2012 so far!
I know it sounds ridiculous ..BUT ..Miley Cyrus.. The Climb ...Don't ask lol.
4. What is your favorite summer music festival?
Being that I grew up mostly in New Jersey, I'm going to have to go with The Bamboozle Music Festival. I ALWAYS have an amazing time at Bamboozle. The lineups are always great. The tents are always great. The people are always great. My friends and I always look forward to it every year. This summer was my first time not going in YEARS and I was so upset.
5. If you had to choose 5 bands that you wanted to tour together this summer who would you choose?
Questions like this are so hard for me to answer. In a world where anything could happen? The Black Keys, The Black Crowes, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. That would be SUCH a random tour though lol... but it was also be amazing. Too bad it could literally NEVER happen. **SIGH*
